Tompkins Square Park, New York City Overview

The 10-acre park is located in the middle of the East Village in Manhattan, New York. Tompkins Square Park is famous for its rare American Elm trees. The Hare Krishna Tree at the center of the park is significant to the Hare Krishna faith and is a good place for meditation and yoga.

The park has a playground with jungle gyms, rock climbing, and a water fountain flush with the ground. There is also a large sandbox, swing sets, and a mini swimming pool for children to enjoy. The park has a dog run with swimming pools for dogs, and separate sections for big and small dogs. The park is kid and pet friendly. It is also accessible for people with disabilities.
