Fort Greene Park, New York City Overview

Fort Greene is a 30-acre park in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The park houses the Prison Ship Martyrs monument that consists of a 100-foot-wide granite staircase and a central Doric column 149 feet high. It is illuminated at night, making it a sight to behold. The park is also famous for its monarch butterflies.

Fort Greene Park hosts Fall Foliage Tree Trail Hike around the 10th of October during fall. This park is best for nature enthusiasts as it has sloping hills, trees, nature centers, and outdoor activities like fire building. 

The park also comes with a basketball court, tennis court, and playgrounds for kids.
