Shakespeare Garden, New York City Overview

Shakespeare garden is a themed garden in New York City. It is located in Central Park in NYC. It is close to the Delacorte Theatre, an open-air venue. The garden has almost all of the 175 plants mentioned in the works of Shakespeare.

There are four acres of plants and flowers in this New York garden. The Charles B. Stover Bench, better known as the Whisper Bench is a famous attraction. If one whispers into one corner of this curved bench, then the voice will travel to the other side for only one other person to hear.

All over the garden are bronze plaques that quote Shakespeare. The Belvedere Castle is located near the Shakespeare garden and is free to enter.

The garden can be visited with family or alone. The entry is free. Dogs are allowed. Shakespeare Garden is one of the best gardens in New York City.
