Prospect park, New York City Overview

It‘s one of the most popular parks in New York City and is situated between 5 busy Brooklyn neighborhoods adjacent to Brooklyn Botanical Garden & Museum.

Around 10 million people visit the park every year to birdwatch at “The Ravine”( Brooklyn's only forest), skate at the LeFrak Center or to have a family picnic & Barbeque at the Long Meadow, all for free. It’s a perfect family destination with a water play area, playgrounds, a zoo, a Carousel & attractions like Zucker Natural Exploration Center and the park hosts numerous public programs for children throughout the year at the Audubon Center. BRIC Festival, New York’s longest-running, free outdoor performing arts festival takes place each summer at the Prospect Park Bandshell. The park also has Basketball & volleyball courts, grounds for football, baseball, softball & outdoor yoga & large water bodies for boating & fishing. Visitors can also enjoy various other services offered by the park, such as Horse-riding or Nature Programs or the seasonal “Smorgasburg Prospect Park Program” where one can taste the various cuisines offered by the local food vendors.
