October isn't a winter month; it has a bridging climate between the monsoon and the winter, which is pleasantly sunny and lukewarm. However, from December the temperature begins to plummet. January is the coldest month of the year, with temperatures around 8°-11°C. Monsoon arrives by the end of June and takes full shape in July. The continuous rain forms streams and little waterfalls in the cracks between the hills, painting a pretty picture. Netarhat in Summer (March - June)
Summers in Netarhat are pleasant, neither too hot nor too cold. It is much cooler than the surrounding plains, and people from other parts of Jharkhand and Bihar, Odisha and West Bengal often come here to escape from the heat of the plains. From March, the lingering chill starts to fade away slowly. Temperature rises to the 20s (°C), and finally, in April it is shining bright with flowers and wilderness all around. Throughout the summer, temperature ranges from a minimum of 16°C to a maximum of 35°C, thus providing a climate very soothing and pleasant to visit.
