Tria Pigadia, Mykonos Overview

Tria Pigadia, which translates to three wells, is located in the middle of the main town of Chora. The three wells are identical and in a formation of a straight row. They were built in 1722 as the only means to provide water to the town. They were dug into the sand at only 5-6 meters as the water was more accessible at that level. After 1958, they were no longer used and are not functional today.

There are two legends that revolve around the well. The first belief says that anyone who drinks the water from all three wells will never leave Mykonos. The other belief says that a female bachelor will get married if she drinks water from the wells.
