The Maunalei Arboretum lies along the famous Honolua Ridge and Trail. Founded by D.T Fleming in the 1920’s, this arboretum consists of a number of exotic trees and plants from around the world. They are planted in the shape of a lei at the top of the mountain. It is one of the most scenic locations for the garden, rewarding hikers and adventure enthusiasts with a stunning view and refreshing greenery at the top. The Banyan Loop along the trail has a number of banyan trees, giving visitors much needed respite during the summer.
