Water sports

Water sports, Maui Overview

If there's a beach, there's bound to be water sports and water sport enthusiasts. Whether you want swim with the fishes or witness them without having to get wet, Maui's got you covered.

Turtle watch snorkeling tours starting at USD 42/ person are extremely popular among tourists and travellers. These turtles are even visible glistening under the water from the main shore at turtle town (a tip to save money, if you just want to see the turtles). For those who prefer to not get drenched in water, a little on the expensive side is the Atlantis Submarine starting at USD 115/person which goes about 100 ft below water. Various beaches around the island teach surfing such as the Makena Beach State Park as well as parasailing and other activities, which are ideal for a budget traveller. Whale watching is also a popular choice among kids as February is the humpback month for whales who come towards the Hawaiin islands from Alaskan waters to give birth.
