Situated between Hana and Paia, and by the Hana Highway ocean side, Honumanu Bay Beach in Maui is a picturesque bay most-frequented by the area residents. This East Maui beach boasts spectacular vistas of the black sand beach and the bay about a mile before the destination. The picture-perfect beach is a local gathering spot for surfing, fishing, and barbecues. The beach is encompassed by the jungle, which makes this place mystic and magical. It’s often visited most by the fishermen and expert-level surfers if the weather conditions are favorable. The beach isn’t a great place for swimming because of the strong currents and rocky reefs. Along with the local fishermen and surfers frequenting the beach, it is also frequented by the sharks.
