Manali is one of the famous and best-visited towns in the picturesque state of Himachal Pradesh. Set amidst the snowy mountains and with the flowing Beas river, Manali has been my go-to family destin (Read More)ation for vacations. Winters are the best time to visit as you can enjoy skiing and playing in the Solang valley. Though the weather is quite chilly in the months of December-February, you?ll nevertheless love the place. Since I love snow and white flaky mountains, I love visiting the place in December and I had been fortunate to spend my Christmas the last year in snow! The weather can be a bit harsh so carrying extra woollen and warm clothes is always a safe option. Not just the snow and sports, Manali is also famous for its beautiful Jana falls and Hadimba temple. My favourite part about the trip was the authentic yummy hilly food. Red rice, dim sums and rainbow softy ice-creams are what I loved the most. You can also visit the famous Nagar Fort if you enjoy historical places and have an eye for ancient structures and details. You can do paragliding up in the hills and have a bird eye's view of the beautiful tourist town or do rope sailing near the waterfalls. The old Manali is very different and has a Goa or Kasol's hippy vibe with cute little cafes and graffiti streets. Manali's mall road is as exciting as the tourist who visit. The mall road is a must visit for all shopaholics who love knitted, colourful fur coats, hats and gloves. The Tibetan market can be spotted in the basement and is filled with cute warm clothes and accessories that you would love to look at if not buy.
