Returning to the city for centuries are the signature Cliff swallows of San Juan Capistrano, creating an ideal retreat for birdwatching at the white sand beach close to the ancient Spanish chapel covering 10 acres of land, now owned by the Diocese of Orange. O’Neill Museum has a select array of artifacts and murals depicting the city’s history across centuries. ZOOMARS Petting Zoo is a great destination to enjoy wildlife safaris amidst lush semi-arid forests. You can take your kids to have fun petting lovable rabbits, emus and llamas that love to get hugs. Sprawled over 8,000 acres, the Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park is flanked with sycamores, coastal live oaks and other flora native to California. You can spend hours on hikes along the trails lined with pristine streams and wildflowers.
