Los Angeles Music Center, Los Angeles Overview

The Music Center is the biggest and grandest centre of performing arts, and one of the best in all of the US, also home to the famous Walt Disney Concert Hall.

The LA Music Center is the hub of all the performing arts in the city. It is a place amazingly vibrant and diverse. It hosts hundreds of performances throughout the year by it's 4 resident companies - Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Opera, Los Angeles Master Chorale, and Center Theatre Group. Apart from these, there are several festivals and concerts, and also workshops for people to form a relationship with the performing arts and the people from different communities. The Music Center has 4 venues for all these varieties of performances - the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Mark Taper Forum, Ahmanson Theatre and the recently opened and absolutely striking Walt Disney Concert Hall. The last of these is an attraction all by itself. It's architecture is marvellous, designed by Frank Gehry. It is also by far the largest of the 4. The entire Music Center complex is a great combination of all the good things. There are lots of garden areas to relax, exhibitions and music performances to watch and also cafes to fall your tummy. Take a tour of the entire complex to get to know all about LA's culture of performing arts!
