Westminster Abbey is formally titled as the Collegiate Church of St. Peter at Westminster. It is a Gothic Abbey church in the city of Westminster in London and it located next to the west of the Palace of Westminster. It is considered to be one of the most religious buildings in England and is of high value to the common people. It is just a short walk from the River Thames and is a must see destination because of its significance in British History. It is a UNESCO world heritage site. It consists of various paintings, stained glass windows and religious artefacts and it has the most important collection of monumental sculpture anywhere in UK. Charles Dickens, Dr. Samuel Johnson, Geoffrey Chaucer and Charles Darwin were buried in the church grounds. It also has a memorial for Isaac Newton's Scientist corner.
