Peckerwood Garden, Houston Overview
Built-in 1971, and named after the owner John Fairey, Peckerwood Garden is located in Hempstead Texas, and renamed the John Fairey Garden. This 40-acre garden is an epitome of diverse naturalistic settings and has more than three thousand rare and endangered plants from Mexico, Asia, and all over the USA.
The garden is a treasure in Hempstead. There are several group tours for the visitors that are organized by the Garden Conservancy, as the entire garden with its unique plants and trees feels like a museum. Visitors can also enjoy the art installations and sculptures installed in the garden.
