Hong Kong goes hand in hand with good luck and Chung Yueng is one festival of ancestor worship, occurring on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month, which is believed to bring good luck in the families. Celebrated from the time of the Han dynasty, this festival, nicknamed as Double Ninth Festival, is marked with visiting of cemeteries for worship, arranging family picnics and savoring special ‘ko’ cakes within the communities.
