Hikkaduwa Beach, Galle Overview
Hikkaduwa is a beach town on Sri Lanka's south-west coast, best known for the coral sanctuary just offshore. The reef sits inside Hikkaduwa National Park, the first marine sanctuary declared in Sri Lanka, and holds around seventy varieties of coral, which is what makes snorkelling the reason to pick this beach over others nearby. Palm trees line the shore and the town is a long-standing surf spot.
