Al Mamzar Beach Park, Dubai Overview

Spanning an impressive 106 hectares in Deira, Al Mamzar Beach Park is a park located alongside a long stretch of beach and the go-to destination for most families in Dubai. It is packed with family-friendly facilities like supervised children’s play areas, train rides, highly trained lifeguards for the swimming pool and free barbecue services that will keep children and families entertained all day long. The beach park comprises of 5 public beaches where one can lay by the shore, play in the water or try water sports.

Al Mamzar Beach Park has provisions for roller-skating, basketball, swimming, jogging and even bike riding. The park’s many restaurants and cafes offer a variety of dining options for the perfect day out. There’s even an amphitheatre where one can catch live music from time to time.

On Wednesdays, the Al Mamzar park is only open for ladies and children. Only boys under the age of seven are allowed to accompany their mothers and other female family members on these days. Fridays are typically the busiest days here as offices and schools are closed on this day.

  • Rent Beach Cabins: There are beach cabins that can be rented for AED 200 and AED 150, depending on size requirements. For a more luxurious stay, one can rent air-conditioned, beach-view chalets. A large chalet is priced at AED 200 per day while a small chalet is priced at AED 150 per day. These fees are not inclusive of the park’s entry fee.
  • Rent Loungers: For those looking to soak up the sun, there are sun-loungers and beach umbrellas available for rent. These are priced at AED 20.
  • Go Swimming: There is a public swimming pool. To use these facilities, there is a charge of AED 10 per adult and AED 5 per child.
  • Take a Train Tour: The train ride service at Al Mamzar Beach Park is very entertaining for children and families will have a great time exploring the park from the comfort of their little train boogie. This service costs AED 2 per person and lasts approximately half an hour.
  • Go Skating: The park’s skate-park is open to those interested in roller-skating, wave boarding, and skateboarding. Beside it is a children’s game area with plenty of swings and slides to enjoy.
  • Play Sports: There are beach sport field services available like a medium-sized football field, a volleyball court, and a basketball court. One needs to bring their own equipment.
  • Have a Barbeque: One of the park’s most loved features is the twenty or so public barbecues and picnic areas.
  • Enjoy a Show at the Amphitheatre: There is a musical amphitheatre which hosts performances like live music shows, open mics, and stand-up comedy shows, from time to time.

How To Reach Al Mamzar Beach Park

Al Mamzar Beach Park is located in Deira, north-east of Dubai. It is 12 kilometres (15 minutes) from Dubai International Airport, 10 kilometres (10 minutes) from Dubai Museum, 12.2 kilometres (15 minutes) from City Centre Sharjah, 5.5 kilometres (11 minutes) from Deira Waterfront Market, and 27 kilometres (30 minutes) from Sharjah International Airport.

The park is well-known amongst taxi drivers and there should be no trouble in getting a taxi. From downtown Dubai like Jumeirah, a taxi will cost approximately AED 80. From within Deira, a taxi will charge around AED 20 depending on proximity. A taxi from Sharjah to the park will cost anywhere between AED 50 to AED 100.
 
If coming to Al Mamzar Beach Park from Dubai, follow Sheikh Zayed Road/ E11 or Sheikh Zayed Road E11/D95 to Baghdad Street. From there, take exit 67 onto 106th Street and the park will be on your left.

If coming from Sharjah, follow E88 and E11 to Al Ittihad Street to exit D9. Alternatively, you can take E88, Sharjah Ring Road/ Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road till E11 and then turn off to 106th Street.
