Pierce-Hichborn House is one of the oldest brickwork structures in Boston, Massachusetts. It was built for Moses Pierce around 1711 and was later owned by Nathaniel Hichborn. This house built in Georgian architecture is situated close to the famous Paul Revere House.
Pierce-Hichborn House is a brilliant piece of architecture, and although the original structure is said to be destroyed in the Boston fire, it was restored. The narrow sides and sharp corners, oak framing, elegant windows, and a private passageway that holds the entrance. Its symmetry is a breather from the conventional wood-framed buildings. The tours to the Pierce-Hichborn House are guided and it is usually combined with a visit to the Paul Revere House. It is a National Historic Landmark and is also included in the popular Freedom Trail.
