The Crocodile Farm and Zoo has been developed courtesy the undivided interest and efforts of Utai Youngprapakorn, known as the Crocodile King, an established leader in the business of crocodile breeding. Opening its doors to the public for the first time in 1950, the farm is dedicated to protecting the crocodiles and also serves as wildlife education and research centre.
However, the preservation of indigenous species and endangered animals happens to be the main focus of the management here. The farm initially began functioning with a modest number of crocodiles. However, efforts in breeding them turned out to be highly successful with the number of these aquatic reptiles having reached more than 100,000 at present.
