Why to Buy Tour Packages to Bangkok

Buying a Bangkok tour package can provide several advantages, especially considering the challenges that travelers may face. Here are some reasons with real-life examples why purchasing a Bangkok tour package is important:

Local Expertise and Knowledge: Bangkok tour operators have extensive knowledge and expertise about the city. They can provide valuable insights, recommend the best attractions, and tailor the itinerary to suit your preferences. For example, they can guide you to lesser-known temples, hidden markets, and authentic street food stalls that you might not discover on your own.

Seamless Travel Experience: A Bangkok tour package ensures a seamless travel experience by taking care of all the logistics, including accommodation, transportation, and activity bookings. This saves you time and effort, as the tour operator handles the arrangements, allowing you to relax and enjoy your trip. For instance, they can arrange comfortable accommodations in convenient locations, provide airport transfers, and offer guided tours to popular attractions.

Local Support and Assistance: When you purchase a Bangkok tour package, you have access to local support and assistance throughout your trip. In case of any unforeseen circumstances or emergencies, such as flight delays or medical issues, the tour operator can provide immediate assistance and make necessary arrangements. This ensures peace of mind and a stress-free travel experience.

Cost Savings and Value for Money: Bangkok tour packages often offer cost savings compared to booking each component individually. Tour operators have established relationships with hotels, transportation providers, and local suppliers, allowing them to negotiate better rates. This can result in discounted accommodation, bundled activities, or added perks like complimentary meals or spa treatments. For example, a package may include discounted rates for entry tickets to popular attractions like the Grand Palace or Wat Arun.

Insider Experiences: Tour packages often include insider experiences that provide a deeper understanding of Bangkok's culture and traditions. These experiences can include visits to local markets, participation in traditional Thai cooking classes, or guided tours led by knowledgeable locals. For instance, a package may offer a visit to a floating market where you can interact with local vendors and sample authentic Thai cuisine.

Time Efficiency and Crowd Management: Bangkok is a bustling city with popular attractions that can get crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons. With a tour package, you can benefit from pre-arranged timed entries, skip-the-line privileges, and access to less crowded time slots. This allows you to make the most of your time and avoid long queues. For example, a package may include a guided tour of the Grand Palace with priority access, ensuring a smooth and efficient visit.

By purchasing a Bangkok tour package, you can benefit from local expertise, seamless travel arrangements, local support, cost savings, insider experiences, and time efficiency. These advantages help you overcome the challenges and ensure a well-rounded and enjoyable experience in the vibrant city of Bangkok.

Shopping in Bangkok

Bangkok is a shopaholic's paradise. With popular malls such as Siam Paragon, Terminal 21, Asiatique the Riverfront and MBK Centre, to name a few, you will find a variety of luxury brands from across the world with products in fashion, electronics, accessories and more.

The street shopping and local market experience are not to be missed out on either. The street shops in Bangkok are laden and hidden with all kinds of souvenirs, accessories, clothes and other knick-knacks, which are affordable. Visit Chatuchak Weekend Market and Khao San Road at night if your legs and arms are up for the daunting tasks of walking and bargaining with the locals all night!

Food in Bangkok

When it comes to street food, few places in the world will beat Bangkok. A hotspot for food lovers and all things sweet, spicy and quick, the city's streets are always ripe with the smell of fresh street food from a variety of vendors and stalls. While you will come across the popular offerings of burgers, fries, chicken and more, what you should really gorge on are the traditional dishes.

  • Pad Thai - Served with green cilantro, red pepper flakes, yellow limes, shrimps, Pad Thai is stir-fried rice noodles and one of Thailand's national dishes.
  • Thai Boat Noodles (Kuay Teow Reua) - Kuay Teow Reua was initially sold on boats. Though you may no longer find vendors selling it on boats, you can still enjoy this delicacy near the riverside stalls.
  • Thai Crepes (Khanom Bueang) - These crepes resemble small tacos which are hard to resist. They are stuffed with whipped cream, shredded coconut, and roasted peanuts.
  • Thai Green Curry Chicken (Gaeng Keow Wan Gai)- This dish is made with green chillies, sweet basil leaves, lime leaves and green eggplants which give the curry a lovely green hue.
  • Thai Tea (Cha Yen) - Inspired by the masala chai of India, Thai tea is a refreshingly spicy tea made from black tea leaves and flavoured with cinnamon, star anise, orange blossom water, and vanilla. Milk is poured over the tea before serving to give it a creamy texture. Fried breadstick (Youtiao) goes along well with this tea.
  • Sticky Mango Rice (Khao Neow Mamuang) - This traditional summer street food in Bangkok will surely satisfy your sweet tooth. Freshly cut juicy mango slices are placed on sticky rice and sprinkled with roasted sesame seeds. You can try this dessert with durian as well.
