Adelaide Botanical Garden, Adelaide Overview

Fifty hectares of Park Lands garden a short walk from North Terrace, free to enter and open every day. The Palm House is an 1877 glasshouse brought over from Bremen, and the Bicentennial Conservatory holds a slice of lowland rainforest under one arched roof. There is also a wetland, a museum of economic botany and a restaurant in the grounds.

Things to do include visiting the Santos Museum of Economic Beauty, Bicentennial Conservatory, Amazon Waterlily Pavilion, Schumburgk Pavilion and the Simpson Shadehouse. You can also visit the Palm House which is a restored Victorian Glasshouse and houses a beautiful collection of plants from Madagascar. The Gardens also host events for all ages and you can check their What’s On page. You can enjoy a casual meal at Café Fibonacci or Simpson Kiosk or opt for a fine dining experience at the Botanic Garden Restaurant. You can also visit the Diggers shop and they offer a wide range of gardening tools, seeds and books.
