Hahndorf, Adelaide Overview
Australia's oldest surviving German settlement, founded in 1839 by Prussian Lutherans and a state heritage area since 1988. The main street keeps its original buildings, bakeries and beer halls, and it is about 25 minutes from the city in the Adelaide Hills. Busy at weekends; go on a weekday morning if you want it quieter.
