Adelaide Zoo, Adelaide Overview

Adelaide Zoo is a zoo located in South Australia and is home to 2,500 animals and counting plus 250 species of exotic and native mammals. It is also home to a number of reptiles, birds and fish which are displayed over 8 hectares of botanic surroundings. You can visit the Tasmanian devils, Australian sea lions, giant pandas and golden lion tamarins among many others. Adelaide Zoo is a 15-minute walk from Adelaide city. Friendly volunteers offer a free walking tour which is a very informative, fun and personalized experience. You can view many indigenous species like the capybara, little penguin, and rhino iguana. At the zoo, you can feed giraffes, hug a koala and encounter meerkats. There are many houses and exhibits like the panda house, reptile house and nocturnal house. You can enjoy a nature playground suitable for all abilities with aerial walkways, climbing structures and water play features. There are dining options available at Wisteria Restaurant and Fig Tree Café.
