World Trade Center Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Overview

The World Trade Centre Mall in Abu Dhabi is located in the busy World Trade Centre complex in Al Hisn district. The mall has over 160 outlets spread across more than 60,000 square metres of retail area. It has both local and international brands, multiple cafes and restaurants, an 8-screen cinema hall, and over 5,000 square metres of rooftop gardens.

Also called ‘The Souk’, this mall’s architecture is a contemporary reimagining of traditional Arabian souks made with wooden interiors. It has high ceilings, two atriums with retractable roofs, Arabian décor, and plenty of landscapes gardens. It has stores for a variety of requirements like accessories, shoes, clothing, perfumes, and even artefacts. Cafes in World Trade Centre Mall include Costa Coffee, Starbucks Coffee, The Surf Café, Cinnabon, and Bagel Factory. Fast food outlets that can be found here are KFC, McDonald’s, Popeye’s, Hanoi Kitchen, DQ Grill and Chill, and Doner & Gyros.

Entertainment

Formerly called Grand Cinemas, Novo Cinemas in World Trade Centre Mall has 8 screens and more than 1,400 seats spread over two floors. Their services include a premium seven-star screen with recliners, 2D, 3D, 4D, and IMAX. Their movie selections include English, Urdu, Arabic, Hindi, Tamil and other regional languages. They have live screenings of boxing, cricket, and football matches too. Novo Cinemas can be found on level 3 of the mall.

Also found on level 3 is Action Zone. This gaming destination includes rides like zero gravity and bungee jumping, virtual games complete with Oculus headsets, 3D simulation rides, and much more. They’re well known for ‘Jump Up’, a trampoline playground, and their PC Gaming Lounge. They also have a first-of-its-kind LED dancefloor. Prices start at AED 70 per hour.

Pop In and Play is a gaming zone for younger children. They have countless Lego areas and a soft play zone for ultimate enjoyment. Prices start at AED 40 for the first hour with an additional AED 30 for each hour after that. Pop In and Play is located on level 1.

Apart from this, the mall is known to host events regularly. Past events include an Emirate flea market, Ramadan celebrations, Saudi National Day celebrations, an Eid carnival, Diwali celebrations, and even FIFA World Cup screenings.

How To Reach World Trade Center Abu Dhabi

The World Trade Centre Mall is located in Al Hisn district. It is 14.5 kilometres (20 minutes) from Saadiyat Island, 3.5 kilometres (10 minutes) from Corniche Beach, and 10 kilometres (20 minutes) from Al Bateen Beach. Slightly further out, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre is 20.5 kilometres (20 minutes) away, Yas Island is 31.1 kilometres (30 minutes) away and Abu Dhabi International Airport is 38 kilometres (30 minutes) away.

The mall is in a prominent commercial location, so it will be quick and simple to get a taxi here. From Saadiyat Island, it will cost around AED 20 to AED 40. From farther areas of Abu Dhabi like Yas Island, it will cost around AED 60. From the airport, it will cost around AED 70 to reach the mall.
