Sathuragiri Hills, Tamil Nadu Overview

Chathuragiri or the Sathuragiri Hills are found in the Madurai District of Tamil Nadu. It is believed that this is the meeting point of the four Vedas and is the abode of God. The sacred hills are a religious centre for pilgrims and Shiva bhakti. Reaching Sathuragiri involves a full-day upward trek through a hilly, rock-cut terrain with accompanying streams of clear water. There are two main temples at the top of the hill.
