Tokugawa Ieyasu's mausoleum, and the most heavily decorated shrine complex in Japan: the Yomeimon gate, the three wise monkeys, the sleeping cat. Two hours from Asakusa on the Tobu line. Treat it as two destinations rather than one. The shrines are a ten-minute bus from the station, while Lake Chuzenji and Kegon Falls are another fifty minutes up a hairpin road.
