Founded as the first museum in New York in 1804, New-York Historical Society is located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. This American history museum is open from 10 AM to 11 AM for seniors above 65 and from 11 AM till 8 PM for general visitors on Friday and 11 AM to 5 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

The Patricia D. Klingenstein Library is open on Thursday and Friday from 10 AM till 4.30 PM and on Saturday from 10.30 AM till 4.30 PM. The admission cost is USD 22 for adults, USD 17 for seniors and active military personnel, USD 13 for students, USD 6 for 5-13 years old kids and free for kids aged 4 and below and college students. Apart from the exhibitions and group tours, you will find art displays from over 1.6 million artworks including the paintings from Hudson River School, history and iconic genre paintings, American portraits and over 800 works of representational American sculptures.
