MoMA PS1, New York City Overview

Located in Long Island City or Queens Borough, MoMA PS1 boasts of being among the largest contemporary art institutions. Open from 12 noon till 6 PM from Tuesday through Monday and from 12 noon to 8 PM on Saturday, it represents the modern thought-provoking and experimental art form.

Opened in 1971, MoMA PS1 has been acting as the first US non-profit arts center for contemporary art and it has nearly 200,000 contemporary and modern art collections, of which, over 89000 are available online. Apart from exhibitions, film series are shown regularly and you can opt for guided tours to learn more about the art installations. The all-day Mina’s café is open from Thursday to Monday from 12 noon till 8 PM and offers homestyle slow-cooked Mediterranean cuisine by Mina Stone with Devocion coffee, Greek wines, Paros craft beers and cocktails. The Artbook is the bookstore of MoMA PS1 having contents regarding all genres from art to photography, architecture to design and so on.
