Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport is the airport in the city situated 20 km west of the city centre. Trains can be taken from Gare Centrale (Montreal Central Station), while you can catch the buses at Station Centrale d'autobus.
People from India can reach Montreal through a connecting flight with one or two stops. The flights can be taken from most of the major cities in the country.
All major U.S. and Canadian airlines serve the airport, along with some prominent international airlines. A taxi or express bus can be taken to enter the city after landing on the airport.
If you're a first-timer here, driving on your own might not be a really great experience especially if you don't understand French. It is better to hire a taxi if you want to travel by car.
Passenger trains are operated by VIA Rail Canada connecting other parts of the country to Montreal. AMTRAK also offers its service from Montreal to New York with various stops in between.

You can easily navigate the city on foot (within a neighborhood) or by using public transportation. There are metro and bus lines, which cover most parts of the city with several routes. You can also hire a taxi, or use Uber app to get a cab.
