A unique thing to see in Koh Samui, the Hin-Ta and Hin-Yai rocks are granite formations on the headland at the southern end of Lamai Beach. Popularly known as the Grandfather and Grandmother rocks, these formations have gained popularity worldwide for resembling male and female genitalia. The granite has been eroded into shape by seawater and heat. They are among the most photographed spots on Lamai, reached by a short walkway from the car park.
