Atlantis Water Adventure, Jakarta Overview

Atlantis Water Adventure is an exciting water park in the Ancol dreamland area. It spans over five hectares of land and the theme is based on the mythological underwater world of Atlantis. It includes a wave pool, a continuously flowing river pool, a rainbow ball pool, a waterfall pool, water slides, and two children’s pools. There are also restaurants and food courts serving cuisines from India, Brazil, Spain and Bangladesh.

Atlantis Water Adventure has a Mediterranean theme resembling the ancient city of Atlantis. Before the Water Adventure Park was established, the attraction was previously known as the Ancol Swimming Arena. People visit the waterpark for its variety of pools and the longest and highest water slide. It is one of the several water parks preferred for outings and picnics on a hot summer day in Jakarta. The slides are well-maintained and the place is pretty much packed on weekends. The attraction provides quite a respite for families to spend a day together having a gala time playing the slides, the rides or just soaking in the pools leisurely.

Things to do at Atlantis Water Adventure

Atlantis Water Adventure has rides that suit every age group. Some of these rides are for adults only, while some are for children and some, that both parents and children can enjoy together. The water park has two pools for kids, a large outdoor swimming pool, an elephant pool, a dragon slide, a wave pool, rainbow splash pool, the antila river ride, skybox, dragon race slides, and the crazy slide which is the highest and the longest one in Atlantis Water Adventure. The park also has eateries or food kiosks to grab a snack in between the rides.

Tips

Although swimsuits are recommended, it is not a mandate in this water park.

· One can purchase swimming goggles, floaters, earplugs, etc. at the park.

· One can avoid deep swimming pools if they cannot swim.

· Locals prefer heading to the water adventure park on weekends. If one wants to skip the crowds, they may book their tickets for a weekday.

How To Reach Atlantis Water Adventure

Atlantis Water Adventure is located at Jl. Lodan no. 7 in Ancol, Jakarta, about 12 kilometres to the north of the city centre. Public transport is easily available for people to commute to the waterpark. One can choose to use the transit buses, local taxis, Ojeks, Uber rides, Ojeks, angkot/ minibuses or shuttles depending on their preference.

If one is comfortable with the traffic in Jakarta, they may even rent a two or a four-wheeler to drive down to the park by themselves. The route to Atlantis Water Adventure Park goes through Jl. Salamba Raya - Jl. St. Senen - Jl. Gn. Sahari - Jl. Lodan Raya - Jl. Lodan Timur - Aquarium - Taman Lumba Lumba.
