Live Oak Community Garden is spread across 1.5-acres and was formed around 2013. In the last 6 years, the ground has been divided into over 57 plot gardens to grow a variety of plants for production. The volunteers and members have experimented with many gardening styles that have resulted in the thriving of the garden.
Live Oak Community Garden functions on donations and voluntary work and also organizes workshops to teach best gardening practices. Irrigation systems, dirt, seeds, mulch, compost, and tools are usually donated by volunteers. At full capacity, a part of the harvest is donated to food banks.
