Deep Ellum Urban Gardens is an urban community garden located in the Deep Ellum neighborhood. It was created by the residents and professionals in and around Deep Ellum, downtown, and Farmers Market.
The garden was created with the motive to grow food on their own and to know the neighborhood. It is inclined to increase healthy activity and to learn from and teach each other; all the while creating a greener environment. The garden is managed by the volunteers and has many vegetables and edible plants growing around. There are many hangouts, lunches, and potlucks organized by the locals while doing the garden upkeep.
