It mainly depends on how many of you are going and what kind of houseboat you're looking for. Also, prices are different for the route and trip you want. Some are one night and one day and some are l (Read More)onger. There are three types of boats you could choose from, the budget class (which starts at 7k and goes up to 16k), the deluxe class (8k-18k) and the first class (12k-24k). In these, the first two have the options of AC or non AC, the first class has AC only. All three meals are also included. (These rates are for one bed room houseboats which are for two people)

This really depends on your trip. Basic food, stay and travel (not including houseboat) would cost around INR 5,000 a day. Houseboats can be quite costly, but totally worth the price since their one (Read More)of the major selling points of Alleppey.

i been there in 2018 when i was in my final year of graduation. i along with my classmates from Bangalore The Dalai lama institute higher education went there as our historical tour for 3 days...and (Read More)seriously trust me we enjoyed thoroughly. people over there are so hospitality and we enjoyed back water there, had yummy traditional meal.

Do not get cheated by taxi drivers in Alleppey. The taxi drivers will take you to some of their counterparts to get commission. They will scare you talking about security. You are free to hire any ho (Read More)use boats here. All registered. You may also go to District Tourism Promotion Council Office (DTPC) near to Boat Jetty and ask for house boat rates before hiring. Have a pleasant tour :-) Ratheesh
