Airports in Andaman so You Travel Conveniently

There are a total of four airports in Andaman - Veer Savarkar International Airport, NAS Shibpur, INS Baaz and Car Nicobar Air Force Base. Although these are individually for commercial use, Private use, Military use and also for Flying Schools. Veer Savarkar International Airport is the one used for commercial purposes- both international and domestic flights.

Also known as the Port Blair airport, Veer Savarkar International Airport is the leading airport 2 km south of Port Blair and is named after Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. The services of the airport are shared with the Indian Navy. It has a single runway of 3290 m and a single terminal with two gates and no aerobridges at all.

Local flight operators that are operational here include Jet Airways and Air India. There is also Air Sahara and Air Deccan that run frequent flights to Chennai and Delhi.
