The Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Mumbai is part of the Swaminarayan Sampraday of idol worship and the belief that Sri Krishna Purushottam Narayan is the supreme being. The temple has raised demand for festival offerings in the area thereby aiding the local economy.

Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Vadtal contains three beautiful main shrines with the central shrine dedicated to Lord Laxmi Narayan. It was one of the first Swaminarayan temples in India.
