Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Bhuj is a significant Hindu temple located in Bhuj, Gujarat. Originally established in 1823 by Bhagwan Swaminarayan himself, the temple was a spiritual center for devotees in the region. However, the devastating earthquake on January 26, 2001, destroyed much of the original structure. In response, a new temple was constructed and inaugurated on May 15, 2010. This new edifice stands as a testament to resilience and devotion, showcasing intricate marble carvings and gold-plated domes, reflecting traditional Vedic architectural methods
But the 2001 Bhuj earthquake destroyed much of this temple, except for the many divine deities and thereafter, a new temple was constructed where all the divine idols where moved. Located in Bhuj, Near Hamirsar lake, it is an architectural masterpiece built from marble and is a stunning place to visit. The completely white structure of the temple is surely going to be a treat to your eyes.
