"Zante, The Flower Of The East"

Zakynthos Tourism

Zakynthos is located in the west of the Greek mainland and lies to the north of the island of Kefalonia. Zakynthos is also known as Zante, in Italian. It is an exotic island famous for its white cliffs expanding against the sea, dreamy hilltop villages, monasteries, picturesque landscapes, and stunning beaches.

Zakynthos is home to the endangered turtle species named Caretta Caretta and is famous for its shipwreck beach, known as Navagio beach, which is only accessible by boat. Famous as a party hub for British teens, Zakynthos is a beautiful blend of wilderness and commercialization. Most of the island is unspoilt and undeveloped, whereas the main village resorts are fully developed within the village limit.

Long stretches of pass roads with magnificent cliffs on one side and spectacular long sandy beaches on the other side make Zakynthos perfect for driving. There are some beautiful villages resembling Romanesque piazzas and cobblestone streets in Zakynthos. These abound with secluded sapphire beaches, mysterious caves, sea turtle breeding and viewing sites, Seaview fine dining, and huge resorts with amazing views of sunset by the infinity pool. Zakynthos is also a perfect resort town to witness wildlife as it houses Marine National Park and Askos Stone Park.
