Marathonisi

Marathonisi, Zakynthos Overview

Marathonisi is a small island located right across Keri beach in Laganas Bay on the southern coast of Zakynthos. It is popularly known as turtle island due to the distinctive turtle shape of the island. The uninhabited island is a protected territory for the native Loggerhead turtles and Sea seals. Visitors have limited access to the island, restricted to a pebbled beach, a white sandy beach, and a few sea caves. Glass bottom boat tours are a popular activity around the island.
