Annamalaiyar Temple View Point

Annamalaiyar Temple is a Shiva temple with a single tower decorated with coloured idols, situated at a height of about 1,400 m. Its viewpoint offers scenic views of the surrounding hills, coffee plantations, orange groves, and spice gardens near the Servaroyan Temple.

The temple is a very simple and beautiful structure comprising of small and moderate towers that are adorned with idols and painted in a variety of colours. A lamp tower in the form of a pyramid is present at the spot which is painted bright red which appears even more beautiful when it is lighted during the evenings of full moon days.

Though the temple had got absolutely nothing to do with the viewpoint, it sure does add an ingredient of quietness, calmness and a scenic spot to it along with amazing views on the Shevaroys and Shervarayan Hills. The tranquil nature of the surrounding turns it into a picnic spot which is preferred by families. The adventurous travellers can go around and take a look at a number of trails while strolling through the cardamom and coffee estates nearby. This beautiful place is definitely worth paying a visit with family and friends.
