TEA Tenerife, Tenerife Overview
Tenerife Espacio de las Artes, commonly known as TEA, is located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It is an architectural wonder built of concrete consisting of 1,200 glass windows of around 720 varieties of shapes and sizes. It has an onsite cafe and a shop.
This museum is divided into three subsections - Oscar Dominguez Institute, Island of Tenerife Photography Centre, and The Island Library. It was inaugurated on 31st October 2008 and was built by De Meuron, Herzog, and Virgilio Gutierrez.
TEA also houses a cafeteria, a shop, and two exhibition halls, one for permanent exhibitions and the other for temporary ones. Documentaries and experimental films are often screened here at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM from Friday to Sunday.
