Four Face Buddha Statue, Surabaya Overview
The magnificent statue of the four-faced Buddha, situated in front of the Sanggar Agung Temple in Surabaya adds up to the beauty of its surrounding. It stands at the height of 36 meters and is a very common praying ground for the devout Buddhists of Surabaya. The statue is gold plated and carries the message of Buddha throughout its structure.
Similar to the Four Face Buddha Statue in Thailand, but is smaller in stature. The gold-coating that the covers the statue was even imported from Thailand as well. The compound that the statute is housed in also contains white elephant statues, lotus ponds, and meditative spaces as well.
