History of Kapra Lake

Kapra Lake is believed to have been one of the important sources of water for agricultural and domestic purposes when Nizam-ul-Mulk ruled over the Hyderabad state in the early eighteenth century. Not more than two decades ago, it was used for fishing and groundwater replenishment.

How To Reach Kapra Lake

A 35 minutes ride in a local cab or taxi from the Secunderabad Railway Station will take to your destination. The approximate distance is 13 kilometres and the bus route is not very convenient so it can be avoided.
