Situated in the heart of Megalochori village, the Three Bells of Fira are easily accessible, whether you arrive by car, ATV, or local transport. Megalochori itself is a quaint village with narrow alleys, traditional houses, and a serene ambiance. It is also known as the Catholic Church of Dormition and is a Greek Catholic church. Three bells of Fira date back to the 18th century but was damaged by an earthquake in 1956, after which the building was restored. There is a church feast day celebrated on 15th August every day.
