Santorini is one of the most stunning destinations in the world and attracts large crowds of tourists who come to enjoy its beaches with their turquoise blue water, white-washed buildings with blue domes, delectable Greek food, wine, water excursions and of course, its breathtaking sunsets. Sunsets in Santorini are simply spectacular and a sight to behold; you can never forget the view of the sun setting over the Aegean Sea and the water reflecting different shades of yellow and orange! Do keep in mind that sunset watching is extremely popular in Santorini and hence the best viewpoints often get crowded very quickly. However, make sure to get here earlier than 5 PM if you want to grab the best place, as it tends to get crowded quickly. And if you want a less crowded spot, the hiking trail heading east, windmills in the north and even the hillside behind Oia town are great options.
