Old Town San Diego State Historic Park

Old Town San Diego State Historic Park is one of the best history museums in San Diego for history lovers. There are free guided tours which show around the ancient historic buildings from the 19th century. The park also shows around the reconstructions that have been preserved through ages. The vintage buildings house numerous shops and restaurants which offer a rustic experience. The museums are housed in five adobe buildings.

There are stores owned by the local artisans demonstrating their practices and they do not charge anything for it. Apart from the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, there are a lot of places of interest nearby, namely: Heritage Country Park, which also has Victorian-styled architecture and landscapes and San Diego’s first Synagogue; Presidio park, which has Junipero Serra Museum built in the Spanish Revival Style; Whaley House, which is considered as a haunted house by many; and the Mormon Battalion Historic Site, which honors the US military and features the exhibits.
