Mt. Helix, San Diego Overview

Casa de Oro-Mount Helix popularly known as Mt Helix is fondly known as the Crown jewel of San Diego’s east country is surrounded by La Mesa and El Cajon. Rightly, the mountain is an excellent choice for hiking with local stores lined up along the route sharing some of their cultural inheritance in various forms. On reaching the top one can see the breath-taking view of the whole of San Diego, The Pacific Ocean, the Hills of Mexico towards the south.

The most interesting part is when you reach the rooftop you find a unique amphitheater made by the natural forces rooting back to the era of the 1800s. This magnificent San Diego landmark can be spotted by the large, white spiraling cross pointing towards the sky which forms the scenic backdrop for the most romantic weddings, outings and social gatherings hosted around the corner. The mountain trail is lined up with various restaurants that offer Italian, Chinese and Mexican food. The area around is filled with cultural diversity, rich history, coffee houses, and beautiful places to reside in.
