An important South African botanical garden, the Pretoria National Botanical Garden is home to a beautiful collection of plans and flowers.
Established back in 1946 and opened to the public in 1984, the botanical garden is perhaps Pretoria's most beautiful attraction. The wide array of natural vegetation and colourful flowers make the walk through the garden truly enchanting. Lined with flowers and trees of different varieties, a walk along the nature trails of the garden is a must do activity in Pretoria. A charming mix of different colours, the garden is home to different plants and flowers throughout the year, like the mesembs, white and orange daisies, cycads, Megalies plane and many others. Just the fragrance of this collection of flowers will leave you spellbound. The garden is divided into mainly the western and eastern section, with the former containing most of the smaller gardens like the succulent garden, medicinal garden, cycad garden, enabling garden and a few more, while the latter is home to a grassland and also dassies. The garden's immense variety of vegetation also means that it has attracted a great deal of birds, and also small mammals. A visitor's centre, eco craft gift shop, and an artificial waterfall are also things you should check out.
