Moreleta Kloof Nature Reserve, Pretoria Overview
The Moreleta Kloof Nature Reserve is famous for its diverse flora, fauna, and magnificent views. It is situated in the eastern part of Pretoria in Gauteng. It is an excellent place for bird watching, hiking and conducting photoshoots. Picnicking, dog walking, guided hikes, group activities etc., are not permitted at the reserve.
The reserve, formerly a farm, is home to numerous birds and animals such as ostriches, zebras, impalas, springboks and more. There are three hiking trails, namely Rademeyer (1.5km), Suikerbos (3.32km2.89km) and Duiker (2.89km). The first is wheelchair friendly, while the second and third are medium to hard and medium difficulty levels, respectively. There is a restaurant on the site called Rademeyer's and a gazebo often used for weddings.
