Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens, Nagoya Overview
One of the three most visited zoos in Japan, and large enough to take half a day once you add the botanical gardens beside it. The greenhouse is a designated Important Cultural Property, and the hilltop Sky Tower comes on a combined ticket. It is a local institution more than a tourist sight, so expect Nagoya families at weekends. Closed Mondays.
